ABOUT SCOPE AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES ?

  • The civil aviation industry in India has emerged as one of the fastest growing industries in the country during the last three years. India is currently considered the third largest domestic civil aviation market in the world.

The Civil Aviation industry has ushered in a new era of expansion, driven by factors such as low-cost carriers (LCCs), modern airports, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in domestic airlines, advanced information technology (IT) interventions and growing emphasis on regional connectivity.

India’s aviation industry is largely untapped with huge growth opportunities, considering that air transport is still expensive for majority of the country’s population, of which nearly 40 per cent is the upwardly mobile middle class.

The industry stakeholders should engage and collaborate with policy makers to implement efficient and rational decisions that would boost India’s civil aviation industry. With the right policies and relentless focus on quality, cost and passenger interest, India would be well placed to achieve its vision of becoming the third-largest aviation market by 2026.

In the coming 20 years, Indian companies will buy 2,100 new planes worth US$ 290 billion.

Aviation Industry typically is divided into airlines for passengers (life) and cargo (non life)
You can be involved in any role or function such as:

    • Cabin Crew handling
    • Cargo handling
    • Ticketing and Reservations
    • Airport Operations and management

After completing the course, graduates may get hired at major International or Domestic Airports. Average starting salary is usually between 4 – 8 Lakh Rupees per year. Job roles available are-

    • Airport Manager
    • Administrator
    • Credit control manager
    • Airline Contracting Manager
    • Test manager
    • Staff Manager
    • Airport Strategy and Functioning

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH THE CLOUD?

1. Cost

Cloud computing eliminates the capital expense of buying hardware and software and setting up and running on-site datacentres—the racks of servers.

2. Speed

Vast amounts of computing resources can be provisioned in minutes, typically with just a few mouse clicks, giving businesses a lot of flexibility.

3. Global scale

The benefits of cloud computing services include the ability to scale elastically.

4. Productivity

Cloud computing removes the need for many time-consuming IT management chores, so IT teams can spend time on achieving more important business goals.

5.. Reliability

Cloud computing makes data backup, disaster recovery and business continuity easier and less expensive.

WHAT ARE THE CAREERS IN CLOUD COMPUTING?

  • Cloud applications and services are quite in demand in the local markets as well as global markets. They are available mainly as web-based development platforms, cloud applications and software, and on-demand infrastructure.

According to a recent analysis, the international cloud computing market is expected to rise to $96 billion by 2017, and around 5 lakh job opportunities in India are expected in the same period.

    JOB PROFILES:

    • Cloud Software Engineer
    • Cloud Project Manager
    • Cloud Business Analyst
    • Cloud Network Architect/Planner
    • Cloud Product Manager
    • Cloud Sales Executive

SCOPE OF GROWTH IN CLOUD COMPUTING CAREER

    • It has been estimated that India will need about 5 lakh cloud computing professionals in the coming years. Since it is a new technology and supply of such IT experts is less than the demand in the market, the salary levels of cloud computing experts are high too.

So if you choose to make a career in Cloud Computing, you can look forward to an annual salary package of Rs 12 to 19 lakh at the entry-level. A middle-level executive usually earns around Rs 20 lakh per annum while those who have 10 to 15 years of experience in the field can earn a whooping package of Rs 30 lakh or more.
